Local Services

There are three allotment sites in Cuckfield. One at the West end of Courtmead and one behind Halleigh’s Cottages on Brook Street. These are both managed by the Parish Council. The third site is off Glebe Road and is managed by MSDC.

CASH FACILITIES

There are no cash points in the village but both Post Offices offer free over the counter cash withdrawal for certain banks. Click here to see a list of banks which use this service.

Cash back is available at the Co-op and for purchases over £5 at Wealden Stores.

HALLS TO HIRE

Halls and rooms are available to hire at the following locations:

Cuckfield Youth Club, London Lane

Suitable for children's parties. Facilities include sports hall, social room, small outside area and kitchen. £8 per hour. Telephone Sarah on 01444 458538, or email Dolphin.youth.centre@westsussex.gov.uk for further details.

Old School, Church Platt

The facilities in the Old School include the large Tudor and Victorian Halls and fully fitted kitchens. If you would like information about hiring any of the facilities in the Old School, please contact the Dennis Griffiths, the Old School Manager (telephone 01444-456900), Between 9 am and noon, Monday to Friday.

Queens Hall, High Street

The Hall offers various rooms for hire with charges ranging from £10.50 per hour for the Council Chamber to £55 per hour for the large Main Hall for private functions. There are special rates available for community groups and a discount for regular hirers. The Main Hall and kitchen may be hired from 9 am - midnight for a wedding at the special all day inclusive rate of £450. PARKING

Short stay (2 hour) car park at High Street end of Broad Street. Requires a reusable parking disc costing £1, available from Wealden Stores, Cuckfield Post Office, Parish Clerk & TBC. Limited long stay parking also available.

Limited Free parking is available in the Wellesley Memorial Ground and the Whitemans Green Playing Fields.

On street parking is limited to 30 minutes in the High Street and unrestricted in London Road and Broad Street.
