Wanted - Property to rent

Hello, We are looking for a 2/3 bedroom property with a garden within Cuckfield or surrounding areas for a long term let. Ideally we are looking to settle for 5+ years which will give us a chance to save for a deposit to buy our own house. Preferably we would not want to pay more than £1000 per month however we recognise this is a premium area so may need to negotiate on this. We are both very keen decorators, diy-ers, and gardeners so perhaps could help update your home if required. We are a professional couple with a young son. The difficulty we have found in finding a property is due to the fact that we have a medium sized well behaved dog and two cats. The dog is clean and house trained. He comes to work with me every day but when at home is crate trained and confined usually to a kitchen/utility area. The two cats are also fully house trained and are kept in a clean and healthy condition. They are confined to being downstairs only as we do not allow them in the bedrooms. We understand landlords are hesitant in allowing pets but we are very respectful to this and would not allow our pets to run a riot We are happy to pay an increased deposit and would of course ensure the property was thoroughly cleaned upon vacating. Please please if you think you may be able to help us please contact us. We have had a very unsettling couple of years in losing a lot of money due to the sale of our own property (happy to explain the details) and therefore require a bit of a break just so we can build ourselves up again. Mitchell Ancestry

I have discovered that a huge number of my ancestors came from Cuckfield and would be grateful for any information, leads or contacts which will help me with my genealogical project. My G grandmother was Emma Mitchell and we go back as far as Samuel Mitchell b. 1747 and Anne Streeter/Streater, his wife. Another relative was postmaster, Relieving Officer and Registrar; the widow became the postmistress after his death. Names which appear in my ancestry are Greening, Picknell, McGeorge, Holford, to name but a few. Residences include The Rosery, The Post Office and properties in the lane behind the church.
