Annual Plant Sale
Cuckfield NSPCC's popular annual plant sale will be held at Brinkley Lodge, London Road, Cuckfield. There will be a wide range of plants including lots of vegetables and more unusual perennials. Refreshments available - do join us for coffee and homemade cakes and have a wander around the garden.
Any plants to sell would be very welcome and we urgently need plastic flowerpots - particularly 1 and 2 litre pots. If you can help or would like further information please ring 01444 459579.

Community Garden Launch
Warden Park is planning a launch/open morning for the Warden Park Community Garden (& Orchard) at Warden Park School from 09.15 am until 12 noon on Saturday 15th May 2010. We aim to attracted interested parents, families and local residents to join us. On the day we want to explain the project and make a start laying out the area, allocating spaces to groups and individuals and preparing the ground for planting.
Much work is already being undertaken by Helen Weatherell and her team at Warden Park and volunteers from Cuckfield local working with local groups. We are looking for volunteers and donations to help with some of the tasks.

Bluebell Walk, 8.5 miles
Depart Cuckfield Broad Street car park at 10.00hr to New England Wood, High Weald Landscape Trail, Black forest, Pickwell, Ansty, (lunch in pub or picnic), Upper Ridges, Cuckfield.

Tuesday 18th
Pagham Harbour Circular Walk, 9 miles
Walk starts from the WSCC/RSPB Visitor Center Grid Ref. 120/SZ 858966 at 10.30hr. Contact Peter on 01444 415367 to coordinate car sharing, leaving Cuckfield at 09.23hr.
We go around the west harbour side to the shingle spit, Selsea and back over low lying fields offering a wide range of habitats and wildlife. Please bring picnic lunch. Binoculars would add value; we will stop to look at birds. This is from the Mid Sussex Ramblers' programme and is more tiring than the distance suggests. Don't let that put you off though. There are no hills and only a couple of stiles. No dogs.

Meet at car park off B2110, 300m from the junction with B2036 just north of Balcombe.
We walk the lovely Cowdray Forest, Burnt Place & Denches Copse.
Optional pint in The Cowdray pub afterwards.

Loder Valley Circular walk, 7 miles
Meet at Wakehurst Place NT car park GR135/TQ 343317 at 09.54hr.
Route is Tillinghurst Farm, Loder Valley Nature reserve (limited to 50 persons per day, first come first served), Little Srudgate Farm, Newhouse Farm, Peacelands wood.
Bring picnic lunch. NT membership is not necessary. Entry to the reserve is free of charge. NO DOGS.
