Next meeting of Central Mid Sussex County Local Committee
You are invited to attend the next meeting which will be on Tuesday 06 July 2010 at Warden Park School, Broad Street, Cuckfield, Haywards Heath, RH17 5DP.
The meeting begins at 6.30 with a music recital and within the main meeting there will be a presentation from the West Sussex Music Service on what services are available for adults in the county.
Further information on the Central Mid Sussex County Local Committee (CLC) is on our web site.
The full agenda will be available there from Wednesday 30th June.
Many of the decisions that used to be taken at County Hall are now being made at local level by your local County Council members at this CLC. For example, road traffic orders and the appointment of local authority school governors.
Time is set aside at each meeting for members of the public to raise matters of concern to them.

Monthly (2nd sat of every month) food market of local produce in the courtyard of the Talbot Inn. Come and buy some delicious local cheeses, game, fish, organic vegetables, apple juice, jams, chutneys, cakes, bread, meat, poultry and more.

Kittiwake-up-call; linear 9 miles walk.
Meet at East Dean car park GR123/TV 555978 for bus to Seaford and walk back via Seaford Head, Cuckmere Haven, Exceat Bridge (or wade river if small, keen group and low tide!), Exceat hill, Brass Point, Gayles, East Dean.

Cuckfield Historical Walk 'n Talk, 2 miles
Start at Cuckfield, Broad Street car park for a two hour walk touching on aspects of Cuckfield's history via the High Street, Grammar School, Churchyard, South Street, Dinosaur memorial, Workhouse, Talbot Inn.
This walk is limited to 14 persons and is from the Mid Sussex Ramblers' programme. This walk is now fully booked and can not accommodate any additional persons.

ABBA INFERNO
Be a Dancing Queen again for an evening. Back by popular demand, the fantastic ABBA tribute band, ABBA INFERNO will be appearing at The Queens Hall on Saturday 24th July 2010. There will be a licensed bar, raffle and a prize for the best dressed ABBA look-alike. The Winner Takes It All for very little Money, Money, Money at just £12.50 per person and tickets will be available soon from Wealden Stores or from Louise Ruse on 454478.
The event is in support of the Paul for Mayor campaign.

Cuckfield Historical Circular walk, 10.7 miles
From Broad St car park we go to the churchyard and the Old Grammar School (founded c.1521) to Lower Sparkes Farm, Sidnye Farm, Spicer's Farm (1529 Rev. Spicer was the second founder of the Grammar School), Staplefield, lunch at Jolly Tanners or picnic, Little Ashfold, Hammerhill Copse, Bigges Farm, Cuckfield.
